Press release: GNTB welcomes three new members
Frankfurt am Main, 26 November 2024 - Destination management company Kuoni Tumlare and the Deutschlandmuseum Berlin will become members of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) on 1 January 2025, while Käthe Wohlfahrt KG, a specialist in traditional German Christmas decorations and gifts, will also join the organisation on 1 February.
The GNTB therefore has a total of 63 members, including the tourism marketing organisations of the 16 federal states, 32 companies and 15 corporations, associations and marketing organisations. In addition, 16 sponsors support the GNTB's global sales and marketing network.
The GNTB's Board of Directors unanimously approved the companies' application for membership at its 106th meeting on 21 November.
Petra Hedorfer, CEO of the GNTB, explains: ‘Through GNTB membership, we offer medium-sized companies in the German tourism industry a professional platform for marketing their products in key source markets worldwide. At the same time, our members represent the high performance standard of the tourism offering in Germany. Together, we support the positioning of Germany as a quality travel destination in international competition.’

The Deutschlandmuseum in Berlin was opened in June 2023 and offers people who have previously had little to do with historical topics the opportunity to get to know Germany's history and culture in a very compact way and with all their senses. The museum is not only immersive, but also interactive. Many stations invite visitors to join in. It was the first museum in Germany to be honoured with the THEA Award as the ‘World's Best Themed Museum’.
The Käthe Wohlfahrt company specialises in the sale of traditional traditional Christmas decorations and gifts. In the historic old town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, it operates a large speciality shop as well as the popular Christmas Museum.
