Theatre Erfurt: interior view of the large hall (Lutz Edelhoff)

Provider: Erfurt Tourismus und Marketing GmbH

Erfurt, the state capital of Thuringia, is characterised by one of the largest and best preserved medieval city centres in Germany. The new building of the Theater Erfurt was opened in 2003 and can be counted among the most modern venues in Europe. The house offers operas, operettas, concerts, dance theatre and drama productions on approx. 250 evenings a year in the main hall with 800 seats and in the studio stage with 200 seats. Discover the new digital world of Thuringia during your visit to Erfurt. Here Thuringia presents itself as a fascinating and attractive federal state for living, working and travelling. At the heart of the tour are the interactive KUKA robot, which presents Thuringia in thematic tours, and an almost unique virtual reality tour through the state's most beautiful travel regions.
