All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

• There are no designated parking spaces for people with disabilities.
• The paths from the parking lot to and between the entrances are mostly easy to walk and drive on and have maximum longitudinal gradients of up to 7%.
• The bus stop "Jugendherberge" is located 260 m away.
• The path from the bus stop to the youth hostel is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 11% over 50m.
• The building is accessible without steps. 
• The ramp at the main entrance has a slope of 13% and a total length of 5m.
• All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible without steps:
  The reception and dining room are located on the first floor, which is accessible via the main entrance without steps.
  The evaluated bedrooms, a meeting room and the public toilet are located in the basement, which is accessible without steps via the side entrance.
• All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 80 cm wide.
• The reception desk is 95 cm high at the lowest point.
• Wheelchair compatible tables are available in the dining room (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
• There is no toilet designed for people with disabilities.

Room 003 (6-bed room, floor -1)

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 193 cm x 200 cm;
  to the left of the bed 193 cm x 200 cm; to the right of the bed 150 cm x 200 cm.
• The lower beds are 45 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
  in front of the sink 160 cm x 160 cm; directly in front of the WC 200 cm x 30 cm;
  to the right of the WC 165 cm x 55 cm; there is no manoeuvring space to the left.
• There is a fold-up grab rail to the right of the WC.
• The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
• The sleeperless shower is 160 cm x 160 cm. Grab rails and a shower seat are provided.

Room 006 (4-bed room, floor -1)

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 200 cm x 94 cm;
  to the left of the bed 150 cm x 200 cm; to the right of the bed 150 cm x 200 cm.
• The lower beds are 45 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
  in front of the sink 157 cm x 147 cm; directly in front of the WC 200 cm x 40 cm;
  to the left of the WC 157 cm x 52 cm; there is no manoeuvring space to the right.
• There is a fold-up grab rail to the left of the WC.
• The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
• The sleeperless shower is 145 cm x 157 cm. Grab rails and a shower seat are provided.
