Scandic Berlin Potsdamer Platz
The Scandic Berlin Potsdamer Platz opened its doors in October 2010 in the center of Berlin directly at the "Potsdamer Platz" and has since established itself as a modern hotel with a smart sustainability concept in Berlin. The Berliner Haus sees itself as a hotel that welcomes all guests equally, whether families, business travellers or people with physical or mental impairments. The hotel has therefore implemented a comprehensive concept for guests with special requirements in the hotel. The hotel offers 60 solution-oriented rooms and other smart solutions, such as information in Braille, lowered counters and wide corridors.

- There are four marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
- The DB/S-Bahn station Potsdamer Platz is approx. 500 metres away, the nearest underground station Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park is 160 metres away.
- The building is steplessly accessible.
- All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible at ground level or via elevators or a wheelchair lift.
- The platform of the wheelchair lift is 112 cm x 166 cm.
- The lift cabin (lift 1-5 identical in construction) is 125 cm x 180 cm. Lift 1 also goes down to the lowest level.
- Almost all evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 88 cm wide.
Exception: The bathroom door in room 5099 is 85 cm wide. - The reception desk is at its lowest point 95 cm high. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
