The Youth Hostel Rothenburg (JH Rothenburg)

The youth hostel consists of the historical building, the "Spitalhof". They are located in the southern part of the old town, 8 min walk from the market square. The 500 years old Roßmühle and the Spitalhof are 80 m away from each other. Here, historical substance is combined with modern, comfortable atmosphere.

The house has 178 beds distributed in 40 rooms (one to eight-bed rooms), a dining room with 150 seats, a group room for up to 52 people and a seminar room for 20 people. For leisure activities in the hostel you can find up-to-date board games, table tennis, table football and billiards. Also nearby is a climbing wall, outdoor and indoor swimming pool and at Christmas time is a Christmas market. Bicycles can be repaired or borrowed.

  • The bus stop "Spitalgasse" is about 200 m away.
  • Access to the youth hostel is via two steps. 
  • The "Spitalhof" conference area is accessible without steps. 
  • Passages and doors are at least 77 cm wide. 
  • The reception counter is 112 cm high at its lowest point. 
  • In the dining room there are accessible tables (maximum height 80 cm, accessible at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm). 
  • There are no WCs designed to be barrier-free. 

Room 4 with shared bathroom (shared room)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 200 cm x 165 cm;
    to the left of the bed 200 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 200 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 45 cm high.

Room 7 with shared bathroom (shared room)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 200 cm x 150 cm;
    150 cm x 200 cm to the left of the bed;
    there is no manoeuvring space to the right of the bed.
  • The bed is 47 cm high.

Shared showers (in rooms 4 and 7)

  • The washbasins are not accessible.
  • The showers are accessible via a step of 22 cm. 
  • The shower surfaces are 90 cm x 90 cm

  • There is an alarm in the building. It is not optically perceptible.
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • In the dining room there are tables where there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision. There are no seating areas with low background noises.
  • In the rooms at least one electrical outlet is available near the bed.
