Bike/handbike tour "Treffpunkt Adebar (Prokopy)

Loud rattling accompanies the excursionists on this route through the Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve. The Prignitz region is one of the most stork-filled regions in Germany. The cycle paths leads along some of the most beautiful observation points in the region.

Bad Wilsnack - Abbendorf - Gnevsdorf - Rühstädt - Groß Lüben - Bad Wilsnack

  • The car park is directly at the entrance/exit of the cycle path.

Cycle path

  • Start / Finish: Bad Wilsnack (railway station) 
  • The cycle path has a total length of 27 km.
  • It is a circular route. 
  • The cycle path is step-free and accessible.
  • The cycle path is predominantly 200 cm wide, with concrete lane paths at least 100 cm wide (per lane).
  • The cycle path is mostly easy to walk and ride on. In parts, the tour leads over longer sections on concrete lanes and in short sections in towns over cobblestones.
  • The path is predominantly flat, but there are maximum longitudinal gradients of up to 12% over a length of 15 m, e.g. when ascending and descending the dyke.
  • There are bollards. The distance between the bollards is 110 cm.
  • The path is mostly clearly, uniformly and continuously signposted.
  • The cycle path is also partially signposted for hikers/walkers.
  • The cycle path runs over longer sections on roads with motor vehicle traffic, both in towns and out of town (motor vehicles sometimes travel at speeds of over 60 km/h, danger spots: narrow width of the carriageway with motor vehicle traffic). The cycle path is also partially car-free / almost car-free (dyke, service, forestry and agricultural roads).
  • Unsecured crossings of a road with motor vehicle traffic are necessary.

There is a public toilet for people with disabilities (Bad Wilsnack railway station).

  • Passages and doors are at least 94 cm wide.
  • Access is step-free.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    160 cm x 160 cm in front of the washbasin;
    in front of the WC 160 cm x 150 cm;
    to the left of the WC 70 cm x 70 cm.
    There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC.
  • The left grab rail can be flipped-up. 
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm. 
  • The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.
