abba Berlin Hotel
The abba Hotel Berlin is a 4-star hotel located in the heart of Berlin and is the perfect starting point for exploring the city. It is located parallel to the "Kurfürstendamm", so that you can reach the sights such as the "Brandenburg Gate" or the "Gedächtniskirche" in just a few minutes. There is also a good public transport connection to the airports Tegel and Schönefeld.

- There are two marked parking spaces in the car park for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm; distance to the elevator approx. 10 m).
- The walkway in front of the hotel is easy to walk and drive on.
- Access to the building is possible without thresholds or steps.
- In addition to the rotating doors, there are two entrance doors which can be opened without any effort on the part of the guest (or by the service staff) using handles.
- All evaluated rooms which can be used by the guest can be accessed at ground level or by elevator.
- The elevator cabs of the two elevators are 108 cm x 200 cm in size (width x depth). The passage width of the elevator doors is 88 cm.
- All passages/doors are at least 90 cm wide (except for the door to the sauna area and the door to the sauna: less than 70 cm).
- The reception counter is 118 cm high. There is an alternative way of communication while sitting.
- There are tables that are wheelchair accessible at the restaurant.
- Rooms 606 and 621 were surveyed. According to the operator, there are a further five identical rooms in each category.
- The beds are wheelchair accessible and can be moved sideways in order to ensure a manoeuvering space next to the bed of at least 150 cm x 150 cm. A nursing bed can be ordered in advance.
- Light switches and controls for the air conditioning system are mounted at a height of 100 cm.
Sanitary rooms and toilets for people with disabilities
- In room 606 the manoeuvering spaces in the sanitary room are:
right next to the toilet 90 cm x 70 cm, left 120 cm x 70 cm;
in front of the toilet, washbasin and door 150 cm x 150 cm;
in front of the door inside the room 136 cm x 150 cm. - There are handles on both sides of the toilet which can be folded up.
- The washbasin is wheelchair compatible.
- The mirror and a magnifying mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
- The shower area at ground level is 150 cm x 150 cm. There is a permanently installed shower chair and grab handles.
- In room 621 the manoeuvering spaces in the sanitary room are:
to the right of the toilet 100 cm x 70 cm, the toilet is not accessible on the left;
in front of the toilet, washbasin and door 145 cm x 150 cm. - There are handles on both sides of the toilet which can be folded up.
- The washbasin is wheelchair compatible.
- The mirror and a magnifying mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
- The shower area at ground level is 150 cm x 150 cm. There is a shower chair and grab handles.
- In the public toilet for people with disabilities (ground floor) the manoeuvering spaces are:
right next to the toilet 94 cm x 71 cm, left 98 cm x 71 cm;
in front of the toilet, washbasin and door at least 150 cm x 150 cm. - There are handles on both sides of the toilet which can be folded up.
- The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing and sitting.
- In the Wellness area there are no sanitary rooms designed for people with disabilities. The Jacuzzi in the spa area can be accessed via three steps.

Room 606 and 621
- A television with teletext is available.
- There is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
- Free WiFi is available.
Restaurant/breakfast room
- There are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, where there are no lamps that interfere with the field of vision.
- There are tables with low background noises.
- An electroacoustic sound system can be switched off or adjusted.

- Assistance dogs are allowed.
- The entrance is not visually rich in contrast, but can be recognized by a tactile change of the floor covering.
- In the entrance area there are rotating doors and a single-leaf door. These are glass doors with safety markings.
- Rooms and corridors are brightly lit.
- There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
- An emergency call is confirmed audibly in the elevator. The stopping position is not announced by spoken commands.
- Stairs are designed with visually contrasting edges. Handrails are available.
- There is no guidance system with floor indicators indoors and outdoors. In indoor areas, the walls can only be used as orientation guidelines to a limited extent.
- Operating elements can be captured tactilely.
- The house signage is designed in clearly legible, contrasting font.
- There is no information in Braille or prismatic writing (except in the elevators).
- The menu of the restaurant is not in straight-forward font. There is no menu in large print.

- Name and logo of the establishment are clearly recognizable from the outside.
- Business cards/brochures with the address and telephone number of the host are visibly displayed at the reception desk.
- The destination of the path is usually within sight, or there are signs at a constantly visible distance.
- There is no colored or pictorial guidance system.
- There is no information in easy language.
- There is no menu with pictures of the dishes. At breakfast the dishes are presented visibly (buffet, counter).
