  • There is a car park at the youth hostel. There are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 365 cm x 550 cm, distance to entrance: 20 m).
  • The surface of the path from the parking lot to the entrance of the youth hostel is easy to walk and drive on.
  • The entrance is accessible without steps or thresholds.
  • The reception desk is 97 cm to 110 cm high. There is no equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
  • All evaluated doors and passages are at least 90 cm wide.
  • All evaluated rooms available to the guest are at ground level or accessible by elevator.
  • The size of the elevator cab is 108 cm x 140 cm. The operating elements are not arranged on a horizontal control panel (height of the control units 90 cm to 110 cm).
  • In the dining room on the ground floor there are wheelchair accessible tables.

Public WC on the ground floor

  • The movement areas are: in front of the washbasin 125 cm x 225 cm; in front of the WC 225 cm x 149 cm; to the left of the WC 95 cm x 70 cm; to the right of the WC 90 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are folding grab bars to the left and right of the WC.
  • The washbasin is accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
  • The mirror is visible in sitting and standing position.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

Room 3.07

  • The room is a multi-bed room.
  • The movement areas are: in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cabinets) 150 cm x 353 cm; to the left of the bed 253 cm x 308 cm; to the right of the bed 0 cm x 0 cm.
  • The bed is 42 cm high.

Bathroom

  • The movement areas in the bathroom are:   in front of the sink 152 cm x 164 cm; in front of the WC 220 cm x 153 cm; to the left of the WC 28 cm x 70 cm; to the right of the WC 157 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are folding grab bars to the left and right of the WC.
  • The mirror is visible in sitting and standing position.

Shower

  • The shower is accessible without steps.
  • The shower area is 150 cm x 157 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if needed.

  • There is no visual alarm in the building.
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • In the dining room on the ground floor there are tables where there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the visual field. There are no seating areas with low background noises.
  • There is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • There is no free WIFI access available.
  • Knocking at the room door is not indicated by a flashing signal.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • The entrance area is visually rich in contrast, but cannot be recognised by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • Glass doors are not marked with safety markings.
  • There are no carousel or rotary doors.
  • In the elevator, the stopping position is not announced by spoken commands. Operating elements can be detected tactilely. An outgoing emergency call is not confirmed. Alternatively, there is a staircase.
  • Rooms and corridors are brightly lit.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • There is no guidance system with floor indicators.

  • Business cards/brochures with the address and telephone number of the host are not visibly displayed at the reception desk or in the room.
  • The destinations of the paths are usually within sight.
  • An uninterrupted guidance system or signs at a visible distance are not available.
  • There is no information in easy language. Information is not displayed by pictograms or images.
  • There is no color or pictorial control system available.
