The Hohenburg Youth Hostel Homburg simply fascinates everyone. A modern youth hostel with an atrium and direct proximity to the city park with many leisure activities and only a few steps away from the city centre and the train station. Homburg is a vibrant town in the heart of the Saarpfalz region. Hohenburg Castle gives its name to the town and youth hostel and crowns the Schlossberg as a castle and fortress.

  • There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities. The bus stop “Am Mühlgraben” is 75 m away.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are accessible without steps/at ground level or via a ramp or elevator. 
  • All doors/passages and paths that can be used by guests are at least 80 cm wide.
  • A total of 3 barrier-free rooms are available.
  • The WC in the room can be accessed from one side (at least 80 cm). There is a folding grab rail on the accessible side. 
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror is visible when standing or sitting.
  • Access to the shower is via a 1 cm high threshold. A grab rail and a shower chair are provided. An alarm release (cord) is available.
  • There are tables that are max. 80 cm high and wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which can be accessed from one side. There is a folding grab rail on the accessible side.

  • Wi-Fi is available. 
  • There are a total of 3 barrier-free rooms.
  • There is a freely available socket near the bed.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is only confirmed acoustically. Alternatively, stairs are available.
  • In the dining room and bistro, there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, with no lamps standing or hanging on them that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. There is no seating area with low ambient noise (e.g. seating area, separate room).
