Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There are three marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 335 cm x 500 cm).
  • The bus stop "Am Mühlgraben" is 75 m away.
  • The building is steplessly accessible via a ramp. The ramp has a maximum gradient of 6 % and a total length of 22 m (intermediate landing available).
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible at ground level or via an elevator.
  • The elevator cabin measures 120 cm x 140 cm.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is at its lowest point 92 cm high. There is another, equivalent communication possibility in a sitting position.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables available in the dining room and in the bistro (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Room 106 (multi-bed room)

  • There are two other identical rooms (206, 306).
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential stationary furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) and right of the bed 200 cm x 180 cm;
    left of the bed 88 cm x 180 cm.
  • The bed is 53 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of the toilet 300 cm x 75 cm; in front of the washbasin 115 cm x 175 cm;
    right of the toilet 220 cm x 60 cm, no manoeuvring space on the left.
  • There is a grab rail on the right side of the toilet. The grab rail can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible. The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is steplessly available (treshold of 1 cm). The manoeuvring space in the shower is 157 cm x 85 cm. A shower seat is available or can be provided if required. There are grab rails available in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger is available.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (3rd upper floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the toilet and the washbasin 220 cm x 98 cm;
    right of the toilet 70 cm x 60 cm, no manoeuvring space on the left.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the right of the toilet can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible. The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is available.

  • There is no clearly visible alarm.
  • There is no audio induction loop system.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • In the dining room and in the bistro there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. There is no seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room).

Room 106, 206, 306 (multi-bed room)

  • There is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • The ringing or knocking on the door is not indicated by a flashing signal which can be detected in all rooms.
  • WiFi is offered.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas/rooms.
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast, but not recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • All evaluated and usable areas for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators available.
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. The break position is not announced by spoken commands. The operating controls are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable. Alternatively stairs are available.
  • Steps are not visually rich in contrast. Stairs have handrails on both sides.
  • The menu font is straightforward and visually rich in contrast.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic font.
  • Offered aids: reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.), phones with large buttons
