The postmodern facade reaches up to 150m in height and, together with the TV tower, forms a striking landmark of Berlin's City East.   • There are three marked parking spaces for people with disabilities in the hotel driveway. In addition, there are further parking spaces for people with disabilities in the Q-Park (elevator is in front of the hotel entrance in Alexanderstraße). 
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are steplessly accessible via a ramp or elevator.   
  • All passageways/doors are at least 90 cm wide (exceptions: Room 607 doors are 70 cm wide, public WC doors on the 1st floor are 80 cm wide).
  • The reception counter is 123 cm high. There is an alternative means of communication while seated. Another counter with a height of 93 cm is also open at times.
  • There are two barrier-free single rooms available. Each has a connecting door to a double room. 
  • The WC in these rooms can be accessed from one side (90 cm).  
  • There are folding grab rails to the left and right of the WC.  
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • Access to the shower is stepless. A grab rail and a shower chair are available.
  • There are wheelchair-accessible tables in the restaurants that are max. 80 cm high, 67 cm high and 30 cm deep.
  • There are three public toilets for people with disabilities, which can be accessed from at least one side. There is a folding grab rail on at least the accessible side of the toilet.

  • In the case of an audible alarm, there is no visually perceptible flashing or flashing signal.
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • In all elevator, the confirmation of an emergency call is made acoustically, not visually. Alternatively there are stairs available.
  • In room 606 there is at least one freely available electrical outlet near the bed, but not in room 607. 
  • WiFi is available for communication.
  • In the restaurants there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps or hanging that restrict the field of vision or eye contact. There are seating areas with low background noises.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • The entrance "Alexanderplatz" is visually rich in contrast, but cannot be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering. The entrance at "Alexanderstrasse" is visually rich in contrast and can be recognized by a tactile change in the floor covering.
  • Both entrance doors are revolving doors that can be opened without any effort (lever handle).
  • Glass doors are marked with safety markings.
  • Control elements and paths in corridors can be detected tactilely almost everywhere and are visually rich in contrast. The walls can be predominantly used as an orientation guideline.
  • The evaluated rooms and corridors that can be used by the guest, the elevator and the stairs are well illuminated, e.g. bright and glare-free.
  • In the evaluated elevators, an emergency call is confirmed audibly. 
  • The staircase at the glass elevator has handrails on both sides, but no visually contrasting step surfaces. 
  • There is no information available in Braille or prismatic writing.
  • The menu in restaurants is designed in plain, high-contrast font, but not in large print. The menu is available on a barrier-free website.

  • Name and logo of the hotel are clearly recognizable from the outside at both entrances.
  • The destination of the path is in sight or there are path signs at a visible distance.
  • A business card with the address and telephone number of the hotel is visibly displayed at the reception desk.
  • In the restaurants there is no menu with pictures. The dishes are only presented visibly in the breakfast room. 
  • Information is not represented with pictograms or pictures. There is no information in easy language.
