Catholic Educational House "St. Ursula"

Inner courtyard

Catholic Home Education Center

In the city center of Erfurt, directly on the Anger, lies the Bildungshaus St. Ursula - on the grounds of a monastery with over 800 years of history. This tradition shapes the location and offers the best conditions for a modern conference center.

  • a place where education has space and time
  • a place to meet and stay
  • a place where hospitality can be experienced

You will find the best conditions to attend a seminar, to organize a conference or to stay with a group in our house. Service, cordiality and competence distinguish us as a church-run house.

In addition to four modernly equipped conference rooms, there are cafeteria areas and club rooms that invite people to meet, as well as a house chapel as a place of peace and prayer.

Our house has 39 quiet, lovingly and carefully furnished guest rooms with a total of 58 beds. The furnishings are concentrated on the essentials - in keeping with the monastic ambience. All rooms have shower/WC.  Two rooms are barrier-free.

As an institution of Catholic adult education, the house offers a diverse seminar program. The main topics range from "Church and Faith" to "Culture and Society" to "Spirituality and Health".  Other topics are aimed specifically at couples and families, women and men, grandparents and senior citizens. But creative activities as well as dance and music also have their place.

The team of the Bildungshaus is looking forward to your visit!
