The exhibition "From Art Nouveau to the Present" showcases more than 1,500 items covering Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Functionalism and East-German design after 1950. This most recent third section perfectly complements the existing exhibitions – "From Antiquity to Historicism" and "Asian Art – Inspiration for Europe" – and rounds off an unparalleled look back at 3,000 years of art history.
The extensive collection of artefacts comprises some 230,000 examples of art and craft from Europe and beyond, spanning the entire period between antiquity and the modern day.
