The Salzuflen state spa on the outskirts of Teutoburg Forest is particularly well-known for its mineral and saltwater spa and has been an important health location in Germany since the early 19th century.

The spa resort of Bad Salzuflen boasts five clinics with different specialisations and outstanding wellness, spa and health treatments that all make use of the healing powers of saltwater. Many visitors are attracted by the saltwater microclimate at the salt evaporation works.
