International buyers confirm Destination Germany’s strong position ahead of the GTM Germany Travel Mart. It is expected to emerge stronger from the crisis.

95 percent of respondents believe that Germany will be at least as attractive to visitors once the pandemic is over as it was before, and 30 percent expect Germany to gain market share.

Of all respondents, 53 percent expect their business to do better in 2021 than in 2020. According to 78 percent of the respondent’s business will return to pre-crisis levels by 2023 at the latest and 38 percent expect a full recovery by 2022.
