This information graphic shows facts and figures about European travel intentions first half year 2023.
A strong increase in Intra-European travel of +12.5% is expected over the next six months. While Intra-European travel was still at 50.3% in the period from January to June 2022, it is expected to reach 62.8% in the same period one year later. Domestic trips are expected to fall -7.4%-pts. to 24.8%.
Majority of travellers will not cut down their budget. 58,9% of Europeans expect to spend on trips about the same amount as usual.
Travel destination Germany maintains Number 4 of most popular destinations among Europeans.
