The proportion of international CEOs and purchasers who rate their current business situation in Germany as positive remains unchanged from the last survey wave at 58%. Meanwhile, the proportion of CEOs and buyers who rate the current business situation in Germany as negative has increased by 2 percentage points to 10%.
Future business expectations for Incoming business in Germany are significantly more positive, with 60% of experts expressing optimism for the first two quarters of 2025. This is an increase of 10 percentage points compared to the third quarter of 2024. Compared to the previous quarter, the proportion of experts with neutral business expectations has decreased by 7 percentage points. The proportion of experts with negative business expectations has decreased by 2 percentage points.
The balance for the current GNTB Incoming Business Climate has risen to 53 points, which is an increase of 6 points compared to the third quarter of 2024. This is also an increase of 2 points compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. With a balance value of 70 points, the Global Business Climate continues to be rated more positively than the Business Climate for international travel trade to Germany.
