Hohenzollern cycle path – aristocratic history with a view
Vines, volcanoes and stately Hohenzollern castles and palaces: they are constant companions on this varied route that leads from the Neckar Valley across the Swabian Alb to Lake Constance.
Who knows that the first state parliament of Württemberg-Hohenzollern convened in Bebenhausen Monastery in 1947? That the fairytale castle of Hohenzollern is home to chapels of three Christian denominations? That Sigmaringen Castle is one of the largest town castles in Germany? Anyone who has has travelled along the Hohenzollern cycle path, which was updated in 2022, definitely does! Its six stages connect several hotspots of the prosperous dynasty and offer an abundance of highlights to be enjoyed along the way, for instance in the quiet forests of the Schönbuch Nature Park, on the scenic Albrand and in the Danube valley.
